Mikael's chess pieces are meticulously crafted of wood, each adorned with intricate acrylic painting which completely covers the base material. The set includes a 17” x 17” two-toned, hand painted fabric board. The 32 pieces range from 3” to 4” in height and the entire set comes in a handy cloth bag for storage. Each piece is solidly painted on the back side.

Mikael
Mikael has been working with wood, copper, and stone for over 20 years. For the past decade he collaborated with his wife, Mary, and now dedicates his work to her memory. All their hand made toys and games find their roots in ancient Armenian lore.
